SAM HARROP KNOWS WINE

From technical expertise to commercial sensibilities, his international experience and qualifications set him apart.

In an increasingly globalised market, Sam believes wine is at risk of becoming a homogenised commodity at one end of the spectrum and an impenetrable world of geekery at the other.

Working with wineries, buyers, scientists, educators and consumers, his goal is to demystify, to strip away the contrived framework of rankings and reviews and begin a frank and honest discussion about quality, diversity, process and, more importantly, enjoyment of the end product.

“Sam combines a rigorous scientific mind with a heartfelt respect for people and nature and an innate sensitivity to what makes wine great.”

ANDREAS KUBACH – Bodegas Fontana, Spain
